Kathy L. French, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Kathy French grew up in the Detroit, MI, suburbs and attended Marian High School in Birmingham MI, where her passion for family and faith took root. Her interest in dentistry was sparked while attending college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor when she began to see the perfect blend of medicine, architecture, and engineering into one profession. After she received her B.A., she went on to attend the university’s dental school and receive her DDS.
Dr. French has practiced dentistry for the past 30 years in Itasca, IL. She has completed more than five times the required number of continuing education courses annually, concentrating on restorative and cosmetic dentistry. As an instructor at the Pankey Institute, she enjoys giving back to the organization that helped define and distinguish her career.
Active within the dental community, Dr. French is a member of the following dental organizations:
- Academy of General Dentistry
- Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- Chicago Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy
- Chicago Dental Society
- Illinois State Dental Society
- American Dental Association
- American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
She lives in Inverness with her husband, Greg, and their three children. She is active in her church and donates her time and services to local sports teams by protecting the mouths of young athletes with fitted mouth guards. Kathy enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and is an avid snow skier, walker, and, as she says, “attempts to golf.”
